An active Radon Mitigation System Diagram

An active radon mitigation is a depressurization system that extracts radon gasses from underneath a concrete slab (or any another foundation zone) and exhausts the gasses to the exterior via a specialized radon fan.

Radon system exhaust vent

Radon system exhausts are intended to terminate to code above a roofline and away from any openings that can lead radon gasses back into the home.

Multi-story building with a radon exhaust vent

Even for multi-story buildings, radon exhaust vents must terminate to code in order to not reintroduce the radon gasses into livable conditioned spaces.

Exterior exhaust vents can also be painted to help match the aesthetics of a building or home.
